Welcome to River Pointe Golf Club, the fastest growing golf club in all of the South Georgia golf community. Our semi-private 18-hole golf course is located on the historic Flint River and Lake Chehaw in Albany, Georgia. In addition to fantastic golf, our beautiful clubhouse has also become a community center for the Albany area where people come together for charitable events, weddings and celebrations. The Finest Albany Golf Option
The amenities are nice but the real star of the show at River Pointe Golf Club is the course. It was designed and built in 1995 by renowned golf course architect Mike Young. Our challenging course has been recognized by Atlanta Golf Magazine as a top-tier course, and it was also voted “BEST OF THE BEST” among golf courses in the Albany area for four consecutive years.
The course has water hazards on 14 of the 18 holes. The front nine is a traditional type of course with the back nine built around wetlands with accurate shots being a premium. This course offers Tift Dwarf Bermuda on the greens and “419” Bermuda Grass on the fairways. Wildlife is plentiful. During a round of golf you might even see deer, turkey, fox, geese, otter, alligators and many types of birds. The course is open year round.
Reservations are recommended for weekend play. Amenities include a practice range and putting green. The signature hole is #14, a five par measuring 610 yards with water down the left side and in front of the green. Once the water has been cleared, the fun begins on this sloped green running from back to front. Correct ball position on the green can be a reward with a chance for birdie or just trying to two putt for par.
